Turnagain Arm was stunning today. This is the view northward from Beluga Point, which is maybe a 15 minute drive from our house. The mountains in the background are the Alaska Range. Between this range and the trees is the frozen inlet. The tide was on its way in. In the winter, with the ice, the swiftness of the water is beautiful and mezmerizing to watch. We are just a couple weeks from winter solstice. We do get lots of light even during our shorter days.
Alaska Bookworm
I am a 35-year-old mother of four, who fancies herself a writer, but who is more often lost in a book. I have made it my goal in life to balance childrearing, housework, marriage, relationships, and book-reading. "For I know very well what the temptations of the Devil are, and that one of his greatest is to put it into a man's head that he can write and print a book, and gain both money and fame by it." - "Don Quixote", Cervantes
